Musicality, Movement Master Class, and Performances

What: 90 minute dance workshops and performances with live music interaction: learn to communicate physically and verbally with musicians, how rhythm cycles work, and how to use melodic contours to shape your dance

When: March 4th Monday Night 7:00 to 8:30 pm
Why: Zac and Meg are in Taos from Denver and Chicago for one week. This workshop and performances will be engaging, fun, and help grow dance community in Taos.
Meg graduated from UNM in 1994 with a Performance degree in Clarinet, Flute, and Flamenco accompaniment. She has traveled through out the US, Turkey, Mexico and India studying and performing music for dance. She directs the Tarab Retreat in the Black Forest area of Colorado, and she lives in Denver with her family.
Zac Bigbee began his dance training in Taos New Mexico and continued on to study in Denmark, San Francisco, the Netherlands, Israel, and Russia. He now performs with Zikr Dance Ensemble in Denver and cocodaco in Chicago. His global experience has lead him to believe that there is a deep commonality between all people, which he seeks to share through the universal languages of dance and music.
